This is an image of a hand-made zine with text, posted on a website, with the following image description below it: Across the first two pages are the six values of the Nashville Feminist Collective. They are in black text in white text boxes. On the bottom right corner of page 2 is a link to the Nashville Feminist Collective website. The box says: “find us on FB  or at nashvillefeministcollective.com  and become a member.” On the background of the two pages is a textured black and print.

Accessible Zines

Zines are a popular DIY print format, but only visually accessible. Our Accessible Zines project draws on the methods of multimodal critical design, collective image description, and collective access to reorient the zine genre (and in some cases, to reinvent it).

Projects:

Accessible Zine workshop with Nashville Feminist Collective Disability Justice Caucus: crafting accessibility protocols for Esoteric Zine (December 3, 2016)

Radical DJ project zine (under construction)
